Look no further. For more than 50 years, the Westchester School of Beauty Culture has been training students in the art and science of haircutting, coloring, facial esthetic services, makeup, nail artistry and nail extensions.

Who we are

A Quick History of The School

Westchester School of Beauty Culture has a reputation that’s second to none when it comes to training students to work in the “real world.” The school was established in 1960 in Lower Westchester by Michael P. Salamone to train students in the art and craft of Hairdressing, Esthetics and nail technology. Since then, the school has trained more than 3,000 people as cosmetologists. While some students are working in some of the leading salons in Westchester, New York, Florida, California and throughout the world, others have created their own vision by opening their own salon (or salons as the case may be).

What we do

Westchester Beauty School has trained thousands of people from New York City, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties, Connecticut and New Jersey to cut and style hair.

We offer day, night and Saturday hours. Our flexible full and part-time schedules let you continue working in your current job until you’re ready to begin your new career. With some dedication and hard work, you could be a professional cosmetologist in just under nine months.

Many of our graduates have opened their own salons, while others have become award-winning stylists in New York, California, Atlanta, Florida and other exciting cities in the USA and around the world.

Westchester School of Beauty Culture si the best for education. I passed my state board exams the first time thanks to the teachers and staff. If you are willing to put in the work they will work with you. I was so surprised when I was in the exam after I completed each task I would look around the room to see what all the other ladies were doing; they were not half as prepared as me. Mrs. Patty helped me to organise my kit for the exams and all I had to do was just pull out the bag with the number for the task at hand. I was not digging my for anything and because of that was felt confident. Thank you WSBC Mr. John love you, Mr. Mike, Mrs. Jessica, Mrs. Patty Mrs. Collen, Mr. Frank, Ms. Agnes love you too.
